生物钟是生命活动的内在节律。其中,周期约为24小时的近日节律与人类健康的关系最为密切,受到广泛研究。该节律广泛存在于动植物体内,甚至体外培养的细胞中。在哺乳动物,生物钟由一组时钟蛋白驱动,它们以周期的方式控制着成百上千其他基因的表达,进而影响纷繁的生理和生化过程。人们早就知道长期的昼夜节律紊乱是众多常见疾病的危险因素,包括糖尿病、心血管疾病、炎症、肿瘤等等,但机制远不明了,也鲜有针对生物钟的治疗或辅助治疗措施。我们主要致力于研究生物钟,尤其是紊乱的生物钟,在行为、衰老,以及重大疾病发生发展中的作用,并探索可能的干预措施。
